HealthWISE was thrilled to be named Ipswich’s Health & Wellness Business of the Year on Saturday. The ‘for purpose’ organisation was given the honour at the Ipswich 2021 Business Excellence Awards, hosted by the Ipswich Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
“I could not be prouder of the team’s efforts to support our community here in Ipswich, in particular our most vulnerable and marginalised individuals,” HealthWISE QLD business development lead Naomi Petty said. “It takes a very special individual to do what our clinicians do each and every day with such dignity and humility.”
She said Ipswich was a “dynamic and prosperous community” which deserved access to top health care professionals, and that everyone has a right to good health care, regardless of their background or circumstances.
With smoke machines, live music and a dance floor, the Show Society Centre was buzzing as locals enjoyed coming together to celebrate the best of the Ipswich business community.
Dedicated to the purpose of creating healthier communities, HealthWISE has been delivering primary health care services for more than 13 years. Core services include mental health, Aboriginal health, allied health and nursing services.
HealthWISE operations in Ipswich are expanding and recruitment is underway for a range of allied health positions.. Naomi spoke about the challenges of growing a business during a pandemic, and encouraged those in attendance to use the opportunity to build their resilience and become community leaders.
“I choose to see this as a time for real innovation and creativity; a time when we can critique conventional ways of doing business and develop better and more flexible processes and operations. Particularly those that offer more work life balance and allow us to value and prioritise what is important to us in life,” she said.
“I believe this is the attitude, work ethic and vision that HealthWISE has chosen to adopt.”
